Posted in Mary Carillo by Ben on December 22, 2010

Mary Carillo, a regular commentator for NBC, CBS, and ESPN, will no longer work for ESPN going forward. A former professional player with a career-high ranking of 33 — obtained in 1990 — the Queens, New York-native started her television career in the 1980s. She began working for ESPN in 1988.

For more information about Carillo’s career, see her biography on ESPN here (at least while it’s still up).

Also, for a lighthearted look at her work, check out Carillo’s rant about Badminton during the 2004 Athens Olympics. The video recently gained traction after a recent Huffington Post article highlighted it. Enjoy!
